Your contribution will be

  • Managing communication challenges during crisis situations, ensuring consistent messaging and adherence to organisational policies
  • Collaborating with leadership, external stakeholders, legal and programmes teams to develop communication strategies that protect the organisation’s reputation
  • Preparing press releases, statements, and talking points for spokespersons during crises.
  • Guiding the development and implementation of preventive Issue Communication measures and processes
  • Developing and conducting staff training on crisis protocols and media engagement
  • Analysing and improving crisis communication efforts, providing recommendations for improvement, preparing reports as needed
  • Monitoring news and social media to identify emerging issues and trends related to animal welfare and providing insights for proactive communication
  • Leading and supporting inter- and cross-departmental communication projects, such as FOUR PAWS Glossary, International Calendar, Annual Report and Sanctuaries Newsletter
  • Contributing to the development of internal communication activities, including intranet content, events, and supporting Line Manager with special assignments

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in crisis communications, preferably in the nonprofit sector
  • Strong understanding of animal welfare issues and the ability to communicate them effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in crisis situations and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, multinational environment
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission

  • The yearly gross salary range for this position is 46,000 EUR - 51,000 EUR (full-time base, consisting of 14 payments) according to our internal compensation scheme
