Human Resources Specialist (m/f/d)

Part-time | 24-32 hours per week | Boston, Massachusetts

Your contribution will be

  • Managing the entire employee life cycle, including facilitating US recruitment cycle effectively and efficiently
  • Administering US HR functions, including compensation, performance management, employee relations, and HR policy development for the US team ensuring that all legal requirements on filing, data management, and data protection are met
  • Partnering with the US Operations Manager as needed to support benefits and payroll administration, and HRIS database
  • Being an active and engaged member of the organisation’s DEI task force
  • Working closely with the global HR Centers of Expertise to ensure that global policies and processes are successfully adjusted to US requirements (legally and culturally) and customisation of templates, tools, or forms to US standards
  • Maintaining the US staff employee handbook and federal and state guidelines ensuring US HR policies are kept up to date and relevant with current legislation and best practices
  • Coaching and developing the local US leadership team in HR-related issues to ensure they have the appropriate skills and knowledge to drive the organisation forward

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least several years of HR experience, including experience in an HR generalist role leading and delivering HR projects
  • Experience in both non-profit and global organisations strongly desired
  • Excellent written, verbal and intercultural communication skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated support and collaboration within  hybrid/remote teams
  • The ability to collaborate locally and globally to support organisation goals and implement strategy in a locally relevant and compliant manner
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS’s vision and mission

  • The annual starting salary for this position is: $71,800 - $79,800 prorated based on the determined part-time hours per week
