Your contribution will be

  • Being involved in the setup and guiding the strategic direction for FOUR PAWS in regard to rescues and responses, focusing on revealing animal suffering
  • Ensuring overall planning and realisation of the department’s activities on a strategic level
  • Networking and initiating new strategic partnerships, representing FOUR PAWS to stakeholders, maintaining communication channels
  • Serving as content substitute for the Director during their absence, as needed for specific situations
  • Identifying and analysing situations in which animals under human influence are endangered (focusing on crisis regions) as well as designing appropriate solutions
  • Occasionally joining missions and reporting status, developments and outcomes
     

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Extensive experience in programme management with a global perspective, hands-on experience combined with strategic thinking
  • Proven track record as a strategic project manager with significant field experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies
  • Being able to balance field and office work, including strategic planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Ability of leading missions effectively if needed
  • Willingness to travel on occasions
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of animal care and behavior is a good-to-have; veterinary background is not mandatory but a plus
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission

  • The yearly gross salary range for this position is EUR 60,000 – EUR 66,000 (full-time base, consisting of 14 payments) according to our internal compensation scheme
