FOUR PAWS is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under direct human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them, providing a safe home for wildlife such as bears and big cats from non-species-appropriate keeping conditions around the world. Your contribution will be

  • Ensuring the wellbeing of the animals based on FOUR PAWS quality standards and the smooth operations of our colleagues to ensure the strongest impact on animal welfare in Germany and beyond
  • Managing and organising of the Sanctuary in all operational and strategic matters
  • Responsibility for leading and motivating the team
  • Ensuring the efficient use of resources, cost control and budget planning
  • Representing the Sanctuary in public relations and with partners
  • Coordinating the current renovation of the Sanctuary and future projects
  • Ensuring and continuously optimising the work processes in the Sanctuary
  • Collaborating with authorities and partner organisations, which includes maintaining and expanding networks in the areas of animal welfare, veterinary medicine and administration
  • Collaborating in a strong alignment with the country office in regards of programmes, fundraising, social media representation and public relations
  • Preparing annual reports and project progress plan for the Board

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Holding relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, hospitality management or project management
  • Several years of experience in a leadership position, preferably in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent German skills written and spoken
  • Very good English skills written and spoken
  • Drivers license B
  • High level of responsibility and personal drive
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
