Your contribution will be

• Providing species-appropriate care for the bears residing at BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina as well as following proper husbandry practices 
• Establishing species-appropriate keeping conditions  
• Monitoring animal behaviour for possible socialisation purposes 
• Daily monitoring and documenting of animal health and any changes in behaviour 
• Supporting veterinary measures and procedures, as needed 
• Supporting in the rearing of young animals, as needed  
• Participating in and supporting the safe transfer of animals to and from the sanctuary 
• Controlling the food supply including delivery note to ensure proper quantity and quality of food 
• Writing daily reports from the control observations (behaviour, anomalies, disease, and symptoms of bears 
• Supporting with photographing bears for social media content as well as providing engaging stories about the bears  
• Respecting all safety instructions, the alarm plan, work instructions, and other regulations 
• Advising senior management of any relevant technical security events or damages such as issues with electrical fences, emergency lighting, electricity, alarm system, power aggregates etc
• Cutting tree branches, weeding, and cutting grass near the fences and enclosures to the extent permitted 
• Removing fallen tree branches and trees to the extent permitted 
• Supporting with the coordination and organisation of daily visitors in the sanctuary as well as supporting with guided tours and special events 

Your profile ideally illustrates

• Previous experience working as a Animal Caretaker or relevant corporate sector experience  
• Relevant qualification or proven work experience 
• English skills are a plus 
• Willingness to travel as well as a valid driver’s license 
• Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
