Sun bear cub Anuk was only a few weeks old when she was found alone in the back of a taxi at a bus station in Thanh Hoa City, Vietnam. In August 2024, she was transferred to her new home at the BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh.

Upon arrival at the sanctuary, Anuk faced many challenges. She was in a critical condition and suffered from severe dehydration, requiring around-the-clock care from the experienced team. Now, she is thriving and enjoying her life. Anuk particularly loves climbing trees, swimming in her outdoor pool, and licking up streams of ants she finds in her enclosure.
