Premiere of Eating The Future
World Premiere of a documentary at the films for future festival
Eating the Future will premiere at Rote Fabrik, Zürich at 18:00 CET on 19th November 2024, as part of the Films For Future Festival. Entrance starts at 17:00. The movie is 46 minutes long. After the screening there will be a round table with award-winning producer Katy Jenkyns, FOUR PAWS campaign lead on farmed animals Julia Fischer and the Swiss cattle farmer Nils Müller who makes an appearance in the movie.
Our story follows a young narrator which is voiced by Bafta-winning Mia McKenna-Bruce. By portraying various experts, the narrator exposes the problems caused by factory farming, namely animal suffering, the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, slavery-like working conditions in slaughterhouses and the unfolding antibiotic crisis. To inspire a hopeful outlook for a brighter future, the movie shows examples of alternative farming practices that are planet- and animal-friendly.
The movie is screened in English and German with subtitles in English, German and French.
