
Animal Caretaker (m/f/d)

Your contribution will be
- Implementing the daily (medical) care, husbandry practices, and creating species-appropriate enrichments for all the animals in your care, while strictly adhering to all safety protocols
- Ensuring that the trainee under your care is receiving the best possible instruction in areas of animal care, husbandry practices, animal training and behaviour and is adhering to all safety and security, and hygiene protocols
- Giving interesting and memorable tours to create an emotional bond between visitors and the animals
- Monitoring animal behaviour in regard of the special care function of FELIDA
- Daily monitoring and documenting of animal health conditions and any changes in behaviour
Your profile ideally illustrates
- A relevant degree as a zoo keeper and knowledge of biology, animal behavior, etc. required
- Experience in working with big cats a plus
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations when dealing with wild animals
- Ability to work independently
- Driver’s license, required
- Practical, adaptable, creative, hardworking, problem solver
- Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
